Family therapist Thomas Kaszinski faces a seemingly impossible task: he has to sort out his life. On a trip to New York, he meets up with his long-standing girlfriend, but the relationship is over. On the way home, in the subway to the airport, he loses himself in the past. His thoughts keep on returning to the dramatic events of recent months which – like his love – seem light years away. It is only just before his flight home that he suddenly realises that there would have been a possibility of salvation.
