Longlist authors gather for Blind Dates with readers

Readings in August and September will feature the top 20 authors / Events in Leipzig, Cologne, Prague and elsewhere

Who will earn a spot among the top titles? And who will win the German Book Prize 2011? The 20-title longlist will be announced on 17 August 2011. Starting at the end of the month, the readers themselves will have a chance to make their own impressions of the nominees. Authors who make the longlist will give readings in 11 German cities and Prague until the end of September. Which authors will read in which cities will remain a secret until the very last minute – but the dates and times of the Blind Dates have already been set.
