Clear the stage for the German Book Prize 2017: : Events at the Frankfurter Buchmesse

At the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2017, visitors can experience the German Book Prize up close: With an exhibition including all 260 nominated titles from 13 years of the German Book Prize, readings and a virtual thematic tour, the German Book Prize is offering a wide-ranging programme.

The exhibition at the German Book Prize stand (Hall 3.1, J 83) in the Zentrum Börsenverein (German Publishers and Booksellers Association Centre) presents information about the history of the German Book Prize, interesting facts about the authors on the 2017 longlist as well as all 260 books that have been nominated for the prize over the past 13 years.

The winner of the German Book Prize will give a reading on Saturday, 14 October, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the “Forum Börsenverein” stage
(Hall 3.1, H 85).

The following is an overview of the prize winner’s appearances at the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2017:

Wednesday, 11 October | 10:30-11:00 a.m.
The prize winner on the Blaue Sofa (blue sofa)
 (Via Mobile between Hall 5 and 6)

Wednesday, 11 October | 2:00–2:30 p.m.
The prize winner on the ARD stage
(Forum, Level 0)

Thursday, 12 October | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
An interview with the prize winner at the SPIEGEL stand
(Hall 3.0, D 56)

Friday, 13 October | 3:30–4:15 p.m.
A conversation with the prize winner at the 3sat stand
(Hall 4.1, E 108)

Saturday, 14 October | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
The prize winner and his or her publisher in the Forum Börsenverein, followed by a book signing
(Hall 3.1, H 85)
